Your asking for a good time at the askers.....June 28

We slept in today for we had to wait for the new bike parts to be overnighted from Missoula,Montana to a little store in town. Jarod got up and decided to take a ride into town to see if he could find a good bakery and the city pool. We all finally got out of the tents due to the sun baking us out of them. So we moved to the cool shade of pavilion and rolled out our mats. Chad and Jarod biked into town to get breakfast, they returned with a dozen donuts and a gallon of milk, it was amazing. After breakfast Jarod went into town meet the bike shop owner. After about a hour of journaling Jarod finally rolls into camp with a big smile on his face and said he has good news and bad news. We asked for the bad news first, we could not camp in the park anymore, a big little league tournament was being held in the park. The good news was we had a place to stay, the askers! This was the family that helped us out in the Mexican restaurant the night before. So after Jarod continues to inform us that they not only invited us to camp in the back yard but shower and do laundry.

We pack up camp, pretty quickly, and heading in to town to swim in the city pool and get lunch. The guys cooked lunch on a picnic table and waited for the girls to return from who knows what. While we were waiting a women approached us from the left. And asked if one of us was Jarod? I said yes and pointed to Jarod sleeping on the bench of the picnic table. She informed us that dinner would be ready around 7:30 and we will be having burgers, beans, salad, watermelon, and more burgers! We were so surprised and told her she did not have to cook for us, she insisted and we did not turn the offer down a second time. We called the girls and told them the good news of the feast that awaited us! We waited and waited for the pool to clear out of little kids, but it never happened. We left the pool and started to head to the askers house on the hill. Jarod told us it was up hill, but no one ever saw this hill coming. It was a long steep hill, which seemed much more difficult than it should have been, probably due to the fact we snacked all day as we laid out in the grass. After much complaining we made it to the top of the hill only to turn around and see the best view of Idaho yet. We were told to make ourselves at home and at home we made our selves. It looked like a yard sale was going on with all of our stuff sprawled out across the yard. Jarod told us of this game called pickle ball that Mr. Asker told him about, kinda a mix between tennis and ping pong. They had a court and we gave it a try, it got pretty intense, maybe a little more then it should of. We started a terminate with teams of two, and the winning team got a pile of stuff Jarod pulled out of his panniers. Jarod and danielle were the champions.

We finished our final match when Mr. Asker pulled into the driveway. He took one look and said wow, you guys really did make your self at home. Then another vehicle pulled up and the same lady that told us about dinner stepped out of her car with a lot of food! She watched the kids and did a little house cleaning for them. We all dropped what we were doing and started to set up the table, clean up, and get ready to eat. While we were cooking the burgers on the porch, we had an amazing view of the valley below and could watch the sun set behind a distant mountain range. It was around dinner time when we met two of the coolest kids, Jon and Abby. After dinner we started to clean up and going to start a game of pickle ball, but a huge storm rolled in and covered up the beautiful sunset. We pulled our bikes into the garage and the girls went to the little guest house and we went into the house and cashed in the living room. Chad hopped on the couch while me and Jarod rolled out our mats. It felt great to have a huge storm rolling over with a roof over our heads, laundry done, and a shower. We slept well and could only hope the bikes parts arrived tomorrow.
